Handstitched Vintage Needlepoint - Flowers in a Blue Vase

A beautifully stitched mid-century needlepoint featuring a joyful bouquet of flowers in a cobalt blue vase. This piece began its life as a hand-painted canvas by Mrs. Evershed of London W.1 - a mark of quality craftsmanship from a time when each tapestry was lovingly designed and guided by the artist's own brushstrokes. Every thread follows her original artwork, full of colour, texture and nostalgia. The tapestry stitching is in excellent condition, however, the surrounding canvas does show some signs of wear, which adds to its charm. This canvas would look great framed or kept in its current condition on a wooden board.
